Potomac Programs

We are local. We work with your insurance. We have services after school or after work. We also have day treatment if you need it. And we can come right into your home or just meet you somewhere for coffee if you’d rather do that. If you are between the ages of 14 – 25 we can help you.

Too Many Go Through Life Suffering

Suicide, anxiety and depression are on the rise – and young people your age are more at risk today than ever before. Too many people go through life suffering from trauma, loneliness, intense social pressure, feelings of worthlessness, anxiety, depression, and shame.

It doesn't have to be this way.

Treat Yourself Better

Potomac Programs helps you when you feel like you just can’t get back on your feet. You can enjoy life again. You can learn to treat yourself better. You’ll be proud of yourself for the first time in a long time.

It might be hard to believe, but people who emerge from Potomac Programs enjoy the experience. They tell us we are warm, welcoming, and our favorite – non-institutional. We don’t feel like a hospital because we are not a hospital.

How long will we work with you?

Research tells us that the alliance between a therapist and a person they are supporting is the best predictor of successful outcomes in treatment.  When there is trust, openness, and thoughtful direction in that alliance great things can happen.  Most of us cannot take a leap of faith to develop this connection in just a few weeks with a relative stranger.  We typically need at least three months for this alliance to bear fruit. On average families engage our services for another four to six months at descending levels of support. Our support is based on your ability to function increasingly on your own while maintaining healthy relationships with your family and others.

We are experts at helping with a lot of different issues.
